Visiting an Esthetician
It is always a good idea to schedule a consultation appointment prior to your first treatment, especially if you are new to esthetic treatments. This gives you and your therapist a chance to discuss your goals and expectations for the first visit, and long term goals for the future. During a consultation, your therapist will go over an extensive intake form, and most likely do a cleansing of the skin followed by a detailed skin analysis. This will give your therapist the information she/he needs to create an individualized treatment plan, both for a series of professional treatments and recommendations for products you can use at home.
Your Esthetician
Your skin care treatments should be provided by a properly trained professional. Don’t hesitate to ask your skin care therapist about her background, training, and experience—especially as it relates to the treatment you are considering.
Your therapist is a professional member of Associated Skin Care Professionals. Our members have been validated as meeting their state’s licensing credentials and/or core training requirements, and agree to follow a code of ethics which ensures you’ll be treated responsibly and with the utmost respect. ASCP also provides its members with comprehensive resources that allow them to keep up with changing trends, making certain you’ll receive the most up-to-date therapies available.

Excellent facial! I walked out feeling rejuvenated and refreshed, and the signature facial is an excellent value compared to nearby offerings. The environment is a lovely clean new salon with modern technology (not some dingy 1950s relic of Park Ridge). Ramona uses only natural and organic products, and does a very thorough extraction that won't leave your skin red and damaged. She provides a long relaxing European massage that is worth experiencing (and included in each facial). Her attitude is comforting Old World hospitality and prioritizes clients above all else, so I will obviously be back to enjoy her treatment again. Very knowledgeable and personable.

The spa itself is extremely clean and relaxing. Ramona is very professional with ethical practice specific to safe, clean and appropriate "spa treatments" specific to your individualized needs. She is extremely skilled in her craft-you must get a signature facial-you will be amazed. The products she offers, but never pushes on you, are of the utmost quality. Ramona is also very good with children. I bring my preteen with moderate acne breakouts for the basic facials and the results are MAGNIFICENT. I highly recommend Luvu Spa.
Facial? I was running from it with the same scared attitude as I have towards dentist appointments, but that has completely changed after my session with Ramona. I think I am now hooked and can't wait to go back. My face feels fresh, silky and all the information Ramona gave me will help better take care of my skin.
